FOR BARRISTERS AND CHAMBERS · LAUNCHING SOON
Direct access clients, briefed and paid up front.
Clear briefs from members of the public. We send the client your fee note and client care letter, and they accept and pay before the work starts. Membership is by application: we approve every chambers and barrister ourselves.
WHY JOIN
Direct access work, without the admin.
We take care of the parts that make direct access slow: the first conversation, the client care letter and the payment. Your clerk does what only a clerk can.
A brief, not an enquiry.
Members of the public describe their problem to our assistant, which writes the brief: the facts, the area of law, papers or a hearing, the court and date, and their budget. We read every one before it reaches you.
Only work that fits.
Choose your areas of law, papers or hearings, and a minimum fee for each. We only send a case the client’s budget can reach.
Your clerk stays in charge.
Cases go to your chambers. Your clerk speaks to the client, agrees the fee and chooses the barrister, or declines. Only clerks have accounts: they name the barristers who can take work.
Client care accepted. Fee paid. Then you start.
Your clerk uploads the fee note and client care letter. We send both to the client with a payment link. They confirm they’ve read the letter and pay in full, by card or spread with Klarna.
No referral fees. Ever.
You pay a flat monthly subscription. We never take a fee per case or a share of your fee. The only deduction is the payment processing fee on each payment, passed on at cost.
How a case reaches you
Four steps from the client’s first message to a paid instruction. Choose a step to see it.

Why do I have to apply?
Represent Me is a selective service. We review every chambers and barrister before they join, so clients can trust who we send their case to.
Who can join?
Every barrister taking Represent Me cases must be registered with the Bar Standards Board and qualified to accept public access instructions. Chambers confirm this for each barrister they name.
What does it cost?
90 days free once you’re approved, then £59 a month incl. VAT for a barrister on their own, or from £150 + VAT a month for a chambers. No fee per case, ever.
How do chambers plans work?
Plans differ only by how many barristers can take cases: Basic covers up to 5, Growth up to 15 and Unlimited any number. There’s no limit during the free trial.
Is anything taken from our fee?
Only the processing fee on that payment, passed on at cost: the card fee, or Klarna’s fee if the client pays with Klarna. Klarna’s fee is higher than a card’s. Clients pay our 4% admin fee on top of your fee.
How does the client care letter work?
Your clerk uploads it with the fee note when they set the fee. We send both to the client with the payment link. The client confirms they’ve read the client care letter before they can pay, so you have their acceptance before any work starts.
Can clients spread the cost?
Yes. Clients can pay by card, or spread the cost with Klarna. Either way, the fee is paid in full before the work starts.
Do our barristers need an account?
No. In a chambers, only your clerks have accounts. They name the barristers who can take Represent Me work, with a name, email address and a direct access declaration for each, and handle everything from there. You can have any number of clerks.
I’m a barrister on my own. How does it work?
You have your own account. If you have a clerk, they get their own account too and can handle your cases for you. Or you can clerk your own work.
I’m on Clerked. Is Represent Me included?
Represent Me is a separate product with its own account and billing, but Clerked customers get their first 12 months free: Solo for a barrister on their own, Basic for a chambers. Tell us when we get in touch and we’ll send you a one-time code.
What happens when I apply?
Nothing to pay, and no account yet. We review every application personally and reply by email. Once you’re approved, we’ll set up your account before launch, and your 90-day free trial starts then.
